Mooncake Festive

Back to Malacca over the weekend. Saw some kids running around at night playing with lanterns. Going shopping with the mom, sista, aunties & the brats saw some lanterns hanging around in the shopping mall. They're just so cute & adorable. Reminds me of my good o' days back when I was like the brats age. I miss the warmth & happy feelings during the Mooncake Festive. I remembered when I was much younger, my sista, cousins & I were running around at my grandma's place playing fire opss... I mean lantern haha.

Remember these? The paper lanterns hahaha I burned quite a few of them before LOL
The upcoming trends... the paper lantern actually has design of Winnie the Pooh & Mickey Mouse hahaha so cute... I always prefer the old school style rather than the ones run with batteries.
Ahhh the Dragon one reminds me of my sista' tanglung. I used to own the fish hahaha... It's been so many years yet the tradition is still going strong.
I couldn't resist buying this... my favourite piglet mooncake of all time. In Chinese it's called the 猪笼餅 lolx (sound like cham chu long) hahaha
They taste delicious... I always love this so much. If I'm given a choice of the normal mooncake the one with fillings, the Shanghai mooncake (my house still got plenty T_T his mum gave us I don't like it coz' it's very sweet) & this piglet basket mooncake I definitely vote for my beloved PIGGY hahaha~

Looking back at all these pictures, I miss my granny so much...she usually buy the mooncake we called ang kor ah pia (it looks like dolly something like the piggy basket but of coz' it's without the basket & it taste almost the same before there's no fillings inside :) just the way I like it) haihz... oh well... anyway early Happy Mooncake Festival everyone... I bet the moon is going to be round & pretty this Thursday!
