Many of us making life choices a difficult task. I for one often questioned my own choice whether or not it's a correct decision. Some of us going endlessly on worrying of the outcome of our choices, being indecisive on our decision and by the time we have the nerve to decide, that particular opportunity has passed.
The word choice seems final. It can be terrifying and scary at the same time. Once we made our choice, we are stuck to it whether we like it or not. Take for example, you're at an ice-cream stand, you bravely opt for chocolate over strawberry. You then discover that you don't like the taste of chocolate. Too bad you're informed, someone else has taken the strawberry. You have chosen your ice-cream, like it or not you still have to finish your chocolate ice-cream.
But hold on! That's not how you make your choices in life. Life is about changes. Choices are rarely binding thus they change frequently. If the strawberry flavour has been eaten by someone else, look for it else where. Sure there are other ice-cream stand which has it. Or you could simply opt for vanilla, mango swirl, peppermint, rum raisins etc... The list of other flavours goes on and on.
Even though you didn't like chocolate, but choosing it wasn't a wrong decision. If you hadn't tried it, you won't know you don't like it. Knowing what is not suitable for you is an essential knowledge. On the other hand, if you happened to like chocolate then ENJOY! However, that doesn't mean you need to stuck with chocolate flavour all the time. You can always go for other flavours and you are not limited at one at a time either.
There are of course some choices in life are truly difficult than choosing your ice-cream flavour and they require some serious consideration such as your career path, your love life, buying a property or investment etc...
Having said that, endless thinking and analyzing might not be the best solution because there might be too many variables or possible outcome. I always believe big choices in life are best made when we listens to our heart and follow our intuitions. Though sometimes the outcome isn't what we hoped for, we could still experienced some valuable lessons through our journey and grow to be a better person in future.
So life is a sum of all your choices.
