Wahahaa...darn happy... can never imagine i'm the top 10 finalist that won that freaking tiring, gruesome challenge hehehe... (I guess my stamina ain't dat bad after all)...
I almost almost get disqualify (ALMOST ONLY ha-ha)... the other girl failed the challenge before me...
Let me tell you how it started...
Eager contestants came bright and early on a Saturday morning to Pavilion KL to register and be a part of MIX fm's Subaru Palm Challenge. Only lucky 60 contestants who managed to draw blue balls got to compete in the challenge - to be in the running for a brand new Subaru Impreza SGT in Singapore! Well of coz i'm ONE OF THE LUCKY ONES hehe... by getting the blue ball and answer simple question I was automatically one of the qualify 60 contestant...
The challenge started at exactly 1 pm, all the 60 contestant put on the t-shirt...my number is LUCKY 45 hehe... The contest is pretty challenging where the contestants aren't allowed to move their palms from the car and have only miminal movements. The hot weather wasn't much help to us! Yea 1pm it was freaking hot, my skin were burning like i'm some sort of roasted chicken...Meanwhile, singer Reshmonu entertained the crowd with his hit songs (I love his song) and host Sham gave out cool freebies through fun games.
One by one drop off the competition... At first i thought aiya cincai lah stand for 1 or 2 hours will do...wah...mana tahu one after another drop out...Each time i heard the whistle my heart skip a bit haha...
The organizers did not plan to make it easy for us. All remaining participants had to take various Endurance Tests during the challenge. We had sushi laced with wasabi, standing with one leg up for 15 minutes, blow off a Post-It paper off our foreheads, eat two raw eggs in a cup, peel and eat a banana with their free hand and balance a thick magazine on their heads etc.
Day turned to night and there were 12 contestants left. We were allowed our first 10-minute break after 6 hours where we had refreshments and managed a quick rest. After our break the organizer decided to speed things up so they come up with the final test; holding up a 1.5L bottle! The final test which made me ALMOST ALMOST SAY BYE BYE...haihz after 7 hours of standing without water, going to toilet, cannot move damn tiring mar... leg also numb already some more need to hold 1.5L until until left 10 contestant... lucky during that time was one more to go hehe if two more surely i will be gone as well... damn hard leh...
Anyway was pretty fun experience. Finally, we were down to 10 and we are the finalists who will be representing Malaysia in the Palm Challenge in Singapore this November! We will be up against those from Singapore, Hong Kong, Thailand and the Philippines for a chance to win a brand new Subaru Impreza SGT worth more than RM 185,000. The last man standing from each country will also be walking away with SGD$ 5,000! Well consolation to me is i get a FREE TRIP TO SINGAPORE... (even if i drop out i still get to stay there for 7 days haha... everyday get allowance SG100) damn tai oso hehe...
