I'm blogging now so it means I've safely reached Malaysia and home sweet home... "no more dusty sand, no more overly salty/overly sweet food, no more awful traffic, no more 'dark' people" Quoted from Queen Pipiflatflatsut (why the nickname? I'll explain later) aka my pain in the S sister's FB status.

Instead of giving compliments to the City of Cairo, I would love to paint the other side of the world for you guys to picture... it's not a paradise nor a luxurious place despite being called the first civilization in the world. If you think Kay L's traffic is bad, if you think Penang drivers are horrible and if you think Malaysia food sux, you should pay a visit to Cairo. It's an eye opener.

Cairo is known as one of the most densely over populated cities in the world and it's the largest city in Africa & Egypt. Egyptian they live along the both sides of Nile River thus there's a reason why the city is getting more and more congested. Imagine a person can throw 10 items of rubbish per day. The city's population is about 7.8 millions plus 10 millions living on the outskirt, so do your math and imagine how to live in a city covered in so much garbage.  The city nicknamed "The City of a Thousand Minarets" but I would nicknamed it "The City of Tong Sampah" (no offence XD) Every seconds you would hear people honking each other on the streets. The 'dark' people (sound racist but well so you get the idea how Egyptian looks like) are just the same like our 'dark' people. Attitude & behaviour, their 'smell' if you get what I mean (half bottle of perfume mixing with stinky sweat?),  the way they work; lazy & double work (brain size of a pea)... well I'm sure you get the idea. Their main religion; mostly Muslim. They do have Christians among them as well... sadly nobody is worshiping the God Amon-Ra anymore lolx! Their houses are worst than the flats in Malaysia. At least, flats here are painted. Their houses looked like our flats but without the white paint (you can see the mud bricks or red bricks) and it's roofless LOL! They will build another layer when they have more money...

Now you get a rough idea how miserable you can be if you're an Egyptian but then again I think they are so used to it... it has become oblivious to them. So now I am very grateful that I'm a Malaysian hahaha~! At least I am living with a proper house. Well, even though Malaysia can be dirty and dusty (still not as bad) chances of me dying of lung cancer is higher in Cairo than in Malaysia lolx!

That's a little background and what I've seen in Cairo. More updates on the trip... I think I'll have to separate the parts in days. I've seen some wonderful and amazing monuments built during the Great Ancient Egypt and also real mummies.

The first day was a dramatic one. Since my poor darling was blocked by the immigration in KLIA. He couldn't join in our tour for the 1st 3days and missed some of the highlights like the Pyramids of Giza & the royal mummies. Why? Ptptn was the culprit behind it. There goes... I'm going to start rambling on how stupid our Gov + Ptptn system and the immigration department are (just so typical bodoness to the max).  Well, lesson to be learn always check with PTPTN before you travel (at least 2weeks before). Once they block you even though you paid they won't remove your blacklisted name in the system until unless you approached them. My poor darling missed a few months back then so he got blacklisted in Sept. We didn't thought it would happened as he did went overseas during the month of August. It's also our fault for taking things granted. Well, worst thing is PTPTN doesn't open on Sat and the immigration people said their job is just to block people and do nothing. You can't even pay more to get pass or even any other alternative ways to travel on the day itself. It's rather pathetic system and stupid. So lesson learned and it's rather an expensive one. Penalty cost RM2.5k + additional money he need to re-booked the tickets and all need additional about 1k plus to join us on the 3rd day. I haven't even included the phone bills (sms-es) for re-arranging the trip. (My mum would probably scream when she sees the bill end month since my sister is complaining about hers and it's only 3sms-es from her phone)

So off me go... flying off with the rest leaving him behind =P

*More updates coming up later on the 10days 7nights adventure to the Great Ancient Egypt. So stay tune!
