So the HarPi-HarPi Chap Goh Meh aka also the Chinese Valentine's Day ended yesterday... (in case you don't know what's Chap Goh Meh... it represents the 15th day of the Lunar New Year which usually celebrated by the Hokkien peeps like myself, it marks the last day of Chinese people celebrating the new year and officially welcomes the wabbits year! It is also coincides with the CVD haha short form... and there's this custom originated from Penang where the young beautiful girls or those unmarried ones will toss mandarin oranges to the sea in hope that their future spouse would pick it up and yeah the guys will then pick up the mandarin oranges from the sea in hope that they find some contact numbers written on it LOLx)
It has been great so far... both of us celebrated with our families (both sides since we were having our 9 days of holidays during the CNY) I followed him back to Malacca and this year his side couldn't celebrate but it's also very similar to my case but since my granny has passed on for about 2yrs now we sort of have our usual family gathering again... it was fun meeting up with some old pals and old school mates... attended my Uni mates wedding and guess what most of my ang pao money goes to her wedding (T_T) sobsob~!
We were happily playing mahjong, Black Jack, "siam ban 6" (sorry it's in Hokkien have no idea what's it called in English) and also "sulami" hahaha also in Hokkien and happily making money through the process... Darling got himself entertained with bunch of my cousins. I was happily sapu-ing the cookies like usual. We've spent about RM300 for Bak Kuassss hahaha! A must have item for CNY! It's all fun, fun and more fun~! Nothing better than spending time with family members and having someone as cute as him by your side when all your uncles especially aunties (3 ku lok por ee ma ku cheh) are around makes you the topic of the day! Hahaha I'm just proud to have him by my side! Gosh... he makes them happy! And my parents practically lovesssssssssss him! =.=" more than me (T_T)
Well, here's some pictures... enjoy!
